About the REAL ESTATE REGULATORY AGENCY (RERA)

RERA, Real Estate Regulatory Agency, part of the Dubai Land Department is a nodal agency that formulates, regulates, manages and licenses various real estate’s related activities in Dubai. RERA was established in July 2007 by a decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
Under the leadership of Mr. Marwan Bin Ghulita – CEO of RERA, his team of competent and professional leaders / Directors, with their dedicated staff teams, the all strive and  have successfully supported implementation & regulating of the Dubai property market.
Head of Sections and their teams, deal with Brokerage Registrations, Regulations, Property Developer Registrations & Regulations, Escrow provision aiding in security for Dubai property Investors, Research & Evaluation Studies Division, Industry Sector  Education & Training Development, Property Management, Property Valuers, Owners Association registration, licensing & regulations for Jointly Owned Property.
RERA envisages a transparent and effective regulatory environment in which various entities pertaining to real estate can conduct their business. As part of this vision, RERA would like to create an online community and marketplace thus enabling various categories of stakeholders to interact and transact with each other and with RERA.
Dubai Real Estate Institute is proud to partner with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority to offer the RERA Accredited Estate Agent Certification program.

Introduction

The Real Estate Regulatory Agency, in its aim towards establishing a professional and secure work environment in the sector, will launch its Real Estate Certified Practitioner's Training Course. The course is approved by RERA, delivered by the Dubai Real estate Institute, targeting all real estate offices and professionals currently working or are planning to work in the market. The course aims to qualify these groups as real estate specialists in the Dubai market. The modules in the first phase will discuss the following topics:

Legal environment

  • Code of ethics
  • Property Registration & Transfer Procedures
  • Introduction to Standard Forms
  • Introduction to the Owner's Association

Objectives & Goals of the Certification

  • Increase brokers knowledge and qualifications
  • Real estate sector awareness
  • Mandatory to receive the RERA Real Estate License or ID
  • Mandatory to renew the RERA Real Estate License or ID

FOR INTERESTED NON-PRACTITIONERS

Non-practitioners can also attend this course. They need to fill up the registration form online and make the payment afterwards to confirm the booking (Below are the details on the Registration process)

COURSE OFFERING

The course will run for 3 days; and depending on the date, it can be offered either in:

  • Morning, afternoon or evening sessions
  • English or Arabic

EXAMINATIONS

Examinations will be conducted on the last day of the course; grades will be communicated 3 days after that, and it will take the form of Multiple Choice Questions from each module.

  • The Passing mark is set at 60%, any mark below that will require you to do a re-sit of the exam; and if you do not pass the second exam as well, then you will be required to re-take the course.

CERTIFICATES

1 week after the completion of your class, and after passing the exam, you will receive an E-mail confirming your eligibility to receive the Certificate.

SCHEDULE

DREI run the English the courses on weekly basis, and the Arabic once a month. The course is 3 days long and 5 hours for each day. You can find the exact dates and timing in the registration form through www.rpdubai.ae

The course fee is AED 2500, and to be paid at Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI):

Payments are accepted in one of the following forms:

  • Cash in UAE Dirhams.
  • Cheque payable to Dubai Land Department
  • Direct transfer of full amount to Emirates Bank International, Main Branch – Dubai – UAE, Beneficiary Name: Government of Dubai – Land Department Trust, Account No. : 0022-041695-001, SWIFT Code : EBILAEAD

  • Copy of your Passport and Visa Page

REGISTER/RENEWAL OF RERA LICENSE:

If you would like to register or renew your RERA license, please present the following documents:

  • Print of your online registration number
  • Copy of your Passport and Visa Page
  • Copy of the Company’s Trade license
  • Office Registration license (Registered Brokers)
  • Copy of Brokerage ID (Registered Brokers)
  • Copy of your University Degree (if you are an Owner, Partner or Manager, mentioned in the Trade License)

REGISTRATION PROCESS

For registration kindly fill up the Training Registration form in RERA website: www.rpdubai.com Please see below the registration steps:

Step 1:

Visit the RERA website (www.rpdubai.com) and click on "Training Registration" link in the center of the home page.

Step 2:

Complete the registration form in full.

Step 3:

Applicant will receive an auto email after the registration with a reference number to proceed with the payment process. This does not serve as final confirmation of attendance.

Step 4:

Kindly make your payment of AED 2500. Final confirmation will only follow after payment is received.

Step 5:

Applicant will receive an email confirming attendance.
